Την πρώτη δημόσια εμφάνισή του στη Βρετανία πραγματοποίησε ο πρώην πρίγκιπας Χάρι μετά από το επεισοδιακό Megxit και το «διαζύγιο» του με την βασιλική οικογένεια.

Ο 35χρονος δούκας του Εδιμβούργου, παραβρέθηκε σε μια σύνοδο Κορυφής για το έργο του για τον αειφόρο τουρισμό, Travalyst, στο Εδιμβούργο σήμερα το πρωί.

Ο πρίγκιπας είχε ιδρύσει το συγκεκριμένο πρότζεκτ πέρυσι σε συνεργασία με μεγάλες εταιρείες στον χώρο του τουρισμού, όπως οι Booking.com, Skyscanner, Tripadvisor, Trip.com και Visa.

Ο πρίγκιπας Χάρι αναμένεται να παρουσιάσει ένα νέο πρόγραμμα διακοπών, με ένα «σύστημα βαθμολόγησης» που θα βοηθά τους τουρίστες να επιλέξουν φιλικές προς το περιβάλλον πτήσεις στην συγκεκριμένη Σύνοδο Κορυφής.

In Scotland today, The Duke of Sussex and Travalyst have hosted a summit to launch their next phase of work, putting communities first, with a mission to create a more sustainable tourism industry. • “We are a coalition of partners with a shared goal to transform the future of tourism and travel for everyone – to give people access to better information and ensure the future development of tourism positively supports the destinations that the industry relies on, and that their communities depend on. We believe travel is a good thing. It is the heart of human experience, of cultural connections and of new friendships.” – The Duke of Sussex Travalyst is working to build a future where people are able to take holidays and trips that have social, environmental and economic benefits to communities and destinations built in. There is an increasing desire for these types of trips – and we want to make them a reality for everyone. At today’s summit in Edinburgh, representatives from across the Scottish tourism sector discussed the need to encourage and incentivise sustainable practices across the supply chain, in a way that meets the needs of consumers who want more clarity on how to choose more sustainable options. Οι τελευταίες υποχρεώσεις του πρίγκιπα Χάρι και της Μέγκαν Μαρκλ

O πρίγκιπας Χάρι κατέφθασε στον σιδηροδρομικό σταθμό του Εδιμβούργου, αφού πήρε ένα τρένο από το Λονδίνο. Ο 35χρονος δούκας ήταν ντυμένος απλά, με φουσκωτό μπουφάν, και χαμογελαστός, χαιρετώντας τον κόσμο που τον αναγνώρισε.

Είναι, ωστόσο, άγνωστο το πότε επέστρεψε στο Λονδίνο από το Βανκούβερ του Καναδά όπου ζει με την σύζυγό του, Μέγκαν Μαρκλ, μετά την απόφασή τους να αποχωρήσουν από ανώτερα μέλη της βασιλικής οικογένειας της Αγγλίας.

Τις επόμενες δύο εβδομάδες, τόσο ο πρίγκιπας Χάρι όσο και η Μέγκαν Μαρκλ θα εκτελέσουν τα τελευταία τους βασιλικά καθήκοντα προτού αποχωρήσουν και επισήμως στις 31 Μαρτίου.

Μάλιστα, στην τελευταία πράξη του δράματος (το Megxit), η βασίλισσα Ελισάβετ αποφάσισε την αφαίρεση της λέξης «Royal» από τη στιγμή που αποφάσισαν να μην είναι πλέον ενεργά μέλη της βασιλικής οικογένειας, με το διάσημο ζευγάρι να εκδίδει μια ανακοίνωση γεμάτη καρφιά προς την βασιλική οικογένεια.

Δεν έχει γίνει ακόμη γνωστό εάν η Μέγκαν Μαρκλ βρίσκεται κι αυτή στο Ηνωμένο Βασίλειο πάντως, πρόκειται να παραβρεθεί στα βραβεία Endeavor Fund με τον σύζυγό της, πρίγκιπα Χάρι στις 5 Μαρτίου.

Σε ανάρτησή τους στο Instagram, ο πρίγκιπας Χάρι και η Μέγκαν Μαρκλ λένε ότι οι ιδρυτές τους Ιδρύματος, συνεργάζονται με τον δούκα του Σάσεξ «για να μετατρέψουν τα ταξίδια και τον τουρισμό σε παγκόσμιο επίπεδο, έτσι ώστε κάθε ταξίδι που κάνει ο καθένας, κάθε ταξίδι που κλείνει, να έχει έναν θετικό αντίκτυπο στους προορισμούς που επισκέπτεται».
